Effective Recruitment Process
Recruitment can be defined as a series of activities
which is used to attract candidates to apply for organization and hiring the
most suitable/compatible candidate. Recruitment process is mainly focused on
ensuring the most suitable candidate is hired for the organization.
In order to make sure that the recruitment is more
effective or beneficial for the organization, there are few basic steps that an
organization can follow,

Setting up clear set of expectation and standards for the advertised
vacancy.

Aligning with latest trends and best practices in recruiting.

Give a better impression regarding the organization and management upon
first meeting with candidates.
This steps would help to carry out a more effective
recruitment process for the organization.
Recruitment can be
considered as a way of attract more suitable candidates and encouraging them to
apply for the vacancies available in the organization. The recruitment process
mostly composed with series of steps which should be followed to make sure that
the most compatible candidate in terms of technical knowledge, educational
qualification is recruited which would impact the organization in the long run
positively.
The Recruitment process
is further elaborated as below ,
Recruitment planning.
The recruitment process initiates with the recognizing of a need of a new employment where an empty employment positions are discovered within the organization and the job draft notice is arranged which is composed with work particulars and capabilities, experience required for the available position.
Strategy Development.
When the complete job
draft is arranged, the type of employment, number of employees needed,
recruitment strategies and
methodologies are decided, while following key observation criteria’s.
- Source of requirement (Whether the
candidates are from the organization – Internal transfer or outside the
organization.

Make or buy employees (Hiring untrained candidates
or Qualified professional).

Method of recruitment.

Geographical area (from which area should
candidates would recruit? - depends on requirement).
Searching.
When the methodology and
strategies are arranged. The search for the candidates be initiated, It Consists
with two stages:

Source activation

Selling
The source activation
means that the search for the candidate depends on the decision by the
responsible party of the vacant position (Relevant manager) verifies the need
of the recruitment.
Selling means that the
organization must convey the job notice to the prospective candidates through various
media of communication.
Screening.
This steps explains the
shortlisting of applicants for further consideration in selection process in
the means of experience, qualification etc. The purpose in this step is to
select the suitable applicants out of total applicants and select the most
compatible candidate out of the shortlisted candidates, which is mostly decided
by the relevant authorities.
Evaluation and Control.
This step is the last stage in recruitment process, where successfulness of the recruitment is evaluated. This step is very important since the organization has to evaluate the outcome in terms of cost.
These steps simply explains that this process starts with the need of an employee to coop with operational necessity of the organization and determining the specifics of the job position in the need (Job description, Qualification Etc.), then followed by considering of appropriate recruiting methods and communicating channels while ensuring a sufficient time for candidates to respond for the relevant job notice followed by choosing the applicable candidates in order to arrange necessary interviews with management and finalizing the most suitable candidate and evaluating the effectiveness of the recruitment.
General point of view.
The core purpose of
recruitment process is to ensure that the best possible candidate who is
compatible with organizational values, qualifications to the available job,
therefore it is crucial to be very vigilant and more professional recruitment
process in order to get the best out come.
