A better selection process will help to identify talented personnel which will
leads for better productivity and profitability eventually.
Improved job efficiency:
Selecting a compatible candidate for the right job will improve quality of work and may lead to achieve the expected targets soon which will help up to measure the overall efficiency of the organization.
Reduced cost on training and development :
Better selection of candidates will definitely reduce the cost
training and development, since qualified persons have a better chance of
aligning with the given tasks and prepare for future tasks with less effort.
Therefore organization can focus on other employees who are need of training or
grooming for upcoming challenges and tasks.

Proper
selection of employees who are committed for the job and appreciates a value of
a job will help to reduce staff turnover within the organization.

Selection of a candidate who is more compatible with job profile will create

performance if the organization. Which means a bad recruitment will result a
bad outcome on the investment they have made in recruiting a wrong candidate
and also it will result an increase on operation of the organization and
rectifying the bad recruitment decision will cost high for the organization.

is to choose a candidate who has fulfilled all the basic requirement of the job
profile and more capable for available job tasks and more compatible with
organizational culture and values. In selection process of candidates it is
crucial focus on key areas like qualifications, previous work experience,
references and attitude of candidate, which is useful for recognize a potential
candidate which would ease out the waiting time for a compatible candidate,

It is clear that good

steps are followed correctly understanding the gravity of selection decisions a
better outcome can be generated.

ReplyDeleteIn order to ensure the effectiveness of the recruitment effort , Time to time evaluations should be done with relevant department of recruits , which will be helpful to get the best response.
DeleteMany organizations in Sri Lanka are not genuinely following many selection and recruitment protocols due to impacts various parities , Cost savings due to organizational directions.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, choosing highly qualified applicants is also an important task in selection process because one mistake in the selection will badly impact on the organization and also to the candidate . (Meyers,2023)
ReplyDeleteMatching candidates with job profiles enhances job satisfaction. Agreed. But when considering the motivation factor, will it not be stagnate if you hire the employees with same preferences? In the sense of diversity?
ReplyDeleteAgreed , The business world is rapid changing place , New aspects developing every time and yes , in terms of hiring employees preference can't be the same all the time , it needs to be fine tuned time to time with the aspect expanding the knowledge and catch-up the changes quickly.
